To learn more about their boxes please see my blog post here and check out their site at The Back to Basics Box. I’m subscribed to the Eco Chic Chica. Now let’s look at all the eco-friendly, safer goodies that were in the April box:
I received the Insulated Sports Bottle in Mint Green (how did you know Mint Green is one of my fave colors?). Colors varied for subscribers-they have so many shades. The Sports Bottle is made with no BPA, BPS, lead or other biologically harmful ingredients. This is one of my favorite items in the box, I’m using it all the time. It can hold hot and cold drinks. It has a removable mesh filter that keeps ice from rushing to the opening. Such a great idea-especially for my little one so she doesn’t get all the ice when she drinks. The Sports Bottle has gone everywhere with me-on walks, workouts, hikes and just easy to stick in my bag because it is so lightweight. The design makes it easy to hold and it keeps my water nice and cold in the Texas heat.
The Optimistic Bright Side Window Cleaner $6
I’m always happy to see the Optimist’s products in a subscription box because I’ve heard so many great reviews about them in the eco-clean world and I’ve been getting a chance to try many of their products lately. The Optimist company is committed to:
Using ingredients that are kind to the planet, our home, and our bodies
Small changes can create a significant impact
Made with simple ingredients that one can actually pronounce: distilled water, white vinegar, essential oil blend of tea and eucalyptus. I like how it works on glass/windows and mirrors without causing streaks and leaves a aroma of eucalyptus (not the overpowering smell that many conventional cleaning products can leave).
Such a lovely affordable product and the glass bottle can be re-used, recycled, biodegradable and is effective.
Organic Fiji Sugar Scrub– Fragrance Free $30
This is huge jar, it has 20 ounces of scrub goodness. Made with USDA certified organic extra virgin, cold pressed coconut oil mixed with organic sugar cane for a full body exfoliation. It can be used all over, as a scrub on face & body. When I first went to use the scrub it was in a solid form, which is typical of cold pressed coconut. All I had to do was place the jar under warm water and like magic the consistency changed to a soft scrub. See pictures below:
It gives a gentle exfoliation to help smooth and hydrate skin. Seriously makes skin feel so nourished, like a treatment for my skin. Plus, Organic Fiji is made with fair trade ethics, organic clean ingredients, non GMO, cruelty- free , gives back to Mother Earth through Surfrider and so much more.
I truly enjoy using everything in this eco-home/lifestyle green beauty box. You can tell all the heart Ashleigh puts into curating Back to Basics Boxes every month with quality brands, clean ingredients, and the value always exceeds the cost. Are you subscribed? See any favorite products?
