Thank you for sending me this fabulous box to review.  Now let’s take a look at all the cruelty-free goodies inside.

Juice Beauty PHYTO-PIGMENTS Last Looks Cream Brush Full Size $25 in Sea Shell

This is such a pretty color- a bright pink.  Love that it is multi-tasking for lips, cheeks and even eyes to give a pop of color.  I even used this on my daughter’s lips and cheeks for her dance pictures.  Makes me feel good knowing I use safe products on myself and I can use on my daughter too.

This is my favorite item in the box, it is stashed in my purse.  So great that I can use it to add some color if I run out the door to quick, plus a mirror.  Win win.

NIU BODY Pina Colada Sugar Lip Polish Full Size $10

To tell you the truth I’m not a sugar lip polish fan because they are usually too drying for my lips.  However, this one was super gentle and smelled like coconut (pina colada for all you over 21 year olds).  So lovely and my lips felt super soft after.  Made with sugar to gently exfoliate and rich oils to moisturize.

Suntegrity Skincare Vanish Organic Cleansing Oil $8/Full Size $32

This oil helps take off make-up and sun block.  It is gentle and smells super yummy (just like all of their products).  I wouldn’t mind a full size of this beauty (I also need to get some more Suntegrity Sun Block, my entire family uses the body sunblock).  Made with certified organic olive, jojoba, sunflower and camellia oils.

Suntegrity products are so lovely, effective and made without harsh chemicals and smell good.

Andalou Naturals Face Cream Pod $3.29/Full Size $25

A creaming Night Repair sample.  The cream is silky and absorbs quickly.  Made with fruit stem complex, resveratrol Q10 and super antioxidants to help tone and texture over night for fewer lines and soft skin.

Bottom Line

This 5th Anniversary box is the epitome of Petit Vour.  Always high value, quality cruelty free beauty products every month.  Happy 5 years Petit Vour and to many more.

Petit Vour kindly sent me this box to review.  See all my other reviews here.  So let’s get to it.

Kahina Giving Beauty Argan Oil $10/Full Size $82

This organic argan oil is so lightweight and nourishing to skin.  I love to apply it to my body and face for a nice glow and soft skin.  It absorbs quickly and not greasy. I also use a little on my hair to help tame my frizz (thank you Texas weather).

Konjac Sponge Co 100% Pure Konjac Angel Cloth $19

Have you tried a Konjac sponge yet?  If you haven’t, these are so great to use at home or for travel to clean skin with gentle exfoliation.  They last from 1 to 3 months too.

This is made from Konjac (Konnyaku) plant.  It is shaped like an angel when dry and then a soft square cloth when wet.

Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-In-Conditioner $14/Full Size $27

This spray on leave on conditioner works great as a detangler, conditioner.  I really like to use this on my daughter’s curls in the morning to detangle her ringlets.  I just spray it on her ends and her hair is so much easier to comb and fix. I also use this to detangle my hair as well as a leave in conditioner.

Everyday Minerals Velvet Eyes Eyeshadow Fresh, Glowing $6

This goes on smooth.  A pretty cream colored mineral eye shadow with a little sparkle.  Adds a lovely glow to corners of eyes too.  Can be used as a base shadow or on its own.

Bottom Line

Petit Vour delivers a cruelty free box of cruelty free beauty every month.  I really don’t know how they give such high quality products for under $20 a month.  Plus, points for reviewing their products to spend in their on-line boutique.   Love it.  What did you think of the March box?

This box was graciously sent to me for review as a Goodbeing Ambassador.  My March Box included:

ArtNaturals Face & Neck Cream Full Size $13:

This is a deeply hydrating, super creamy skin tightening face and neck cream.  It is formulated to tone sagging skin on face, neck, chest and décolletage (yes please).  I use about a dime-size amount on my neck and chest every day.  My skin feels so smooth since I’ve been using it.  Plus, the cream has a cucumber scent (love cucumbers).

This cream contains active, natural, and botanical ingredients that helps plump, smooth and stimulate skin like:

  • Glycolic Lactic, and Hyaluronic acids to help exfoliate as it energizes, enhanicing cell turnover to reveal healthy new skin that is visibly tighter and feels more supple
  • Jojoba Oil and Aloe Vera to help return skin to its natural elasticity
  • Green Tea Extract and Licorice Oil to tone, firm and target fine lines and wrinkles + Evening Primrose and Rosehip Oils to help refine skin texture and minimize redness

This was one of my picks for this month and I’m so happy with it (I ignored my neck and chest for way to long).  It is soothing and affordable (hello- full size only $13).

Shea Radiance Black Soap Antioxidant Body Wash $5/Full Size $18:

A detoxyfying and moisturizing cleanser that leaves skin clear, smooth and supple.  Helps brighten complexion and leaves it toned.  Such a lovely gentle body wash.  Made my skin feel super soft and smooth.

With its purifying and moisturizing benefits of traditional African Black  soap and antioxidant benefits of colloidal oatmeal to create a creamy all natural body wash.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Compact Mineral Foundation $28.88/Full Size $65:

This formula is non-comedogenic, talc-free, and paraben free.  Comes in 10 different shades available.

A 5-in-1 multi-tasker (I think we all like products that can be used in so many ways, am I right?).  Can be used as:

  1. Concealer
  2. Foundation
  3. SPF (SPF 15)
  4. Setting powder
  5. Finishing powder

I like to use as a setting powder, extra SPF and buildable foundation.   I really like that it doesn’t cake and feels light on.

Shamanuti Sun Butter sample $1.50/Full Size $36:

This is a light weight, sheer UV blocking moisturizer with Vitamin B.  It absorbs into skin quickly, like a lotion, but with UV protection.  I use this on my arms, chest and face (plus a hat) to help protect my skin.

Bedrock Porefector Sample $14/Full Size $21.00

This is a concentrated spot treatment to improve tone and texture.  The texture is super creamy to help minimize pores, as well as act as a spot treatment for blemishes.  Thankfully, my skin hasn’t had any break outs, but will try this when some pop up (I probably jinxed myself!?!).  I like to use this on my nose to help decrease pores and give it an even texture under my makeup. A little goes a long way with this white cream.

Contains rosehip oil, arrowroot tapioca, tea tree oil and clary sage to reduce redness and minimize imperfections without stripping or drying skin.

Bottom Line

Every month the Goodbeing box delivers a great variety of natural products.  Plus, picking out 2 products makes me so happy.  Are you subscribed?  What did you get this month?

MADE SAFE, Product Reviews

RANAVAT BOTANICS AND MADE SAFE CERTIFIED

Ranavat Botanics

Let me introduce you to a daily luxury ritual with Ranavat Botanics.  They create luxurious, hand-crafted, high performance botanical skin care inspired by India’s lavish royals and they have MADE SAFE products.  With product names like Mighty Majesty, Kiss of Royal Tea, Flawless Veil, Eternal Reign, one can’t help but feel regal.

I was so excited when MADE SAFE reached out to me to try Ranavat Botanics.  As a MADE SAFE ambassador using safer products is a priority for me and my family.

Ranavat Botanics was established in 2017 by Michelle Ranavat, a mom with a background in quality as an engineer.  I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle at The Indie Beauty Expo at Neiman Marcus in Dallas.  I was able to talk to her about her botanical treasures.  So exciting to see Indie Beauty at mainstream stores like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Michelle’s desire:

“To make you feel special is what drives me around the world in search of a botanical that is worthy of your skin”

Ranavat Botanics is inspired by beauty rituals exclusive to Indian royalty.  The products are infused with ancient laws of Ayurveda, these rich formulas have been passed down through generations of mothers and daughters and from Michelle to us.

“By taking a modern interpretation of the ancient science of Ayurveda, and using certified organic ingredients, we unveil age-old beauty secrets from India’s rich history to bring you:  Your Royal Ritual”

These are all hand crafted in Michelle’s Los Angeles studio.  She uses only the finest active botanicals harvested across the foothills of Himalayas to the New Zealand countryside.

Not only are they cruelty-free and part of the Leaping Bunny Program, every product is made with high standards for ingredient quality, each product is certified by either MADE SAFE or USDA.  This is so important to ensure that their products are made with safe clean ingredients.

MADE SAFE Certified

I’m honored to be a MADE SAFE ambassador, where I try MADE SAFE products and share my thoughts about these products.  When I’m researching new products I always try to find MADE SAFE products first because I know if they have the MADE SAFE seal on them they are made without all those potentially harmful ingredients.  Just look for the MADE SAFE seal like the one below:

The MADE SAFE seal holds a lot of meaning, it lets us know that products are made without known carcinogens, behavioral, reproductive, neuron toxins, heavy metals, hormone disruptors, pesticides, insecticides, flame retardants, toxic solvents, or harmful VOCs or Volatile Organic Compounds and more.

This means Ranavat Botanics products with the MADE SAFE seal are made with safe ingredients, their product ingredients have been examined by scientists to ensure they are NOT harmful and don’t build up in the environment or our bodies.

MADE SAFE means a product has been made with safe ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human, animals, or ecosystems.

MADE SAFE is an easy way to helps us:

  • Figure out what’s safe and healthy to use for our families
  • Gives companies the first-ever road map for making products with safe ingredients
  • Makes it easy for retailers to stock the safe products we want

What MADE SAFE is doing is revolutionary.   They are providing rules for making products from a base of Made Safe Ingredients.  They have already certified hundreds of products and many more to come.  For a list of MADE SAFE products click here.  Why can’t all of our products be made safe (hopefully one day)?

To see my other MADE SAFE reviews please click here.  Plus, if you want to learn more about MADE SAFE, how a product gets the MADE SAFE seal, and up to date research then check out their website at madesafe.org and my post.

Now on to these royal products.

Masques

All three of these MADE SAFE certified travel ready single use Masques come in the Royal Masque Collective $32 or in the Travel Royal Ritual $55/ Full Size $65

  1. Eternal Reign Detoxifying Masque
  2. Kiss of Royal Tea Hydrating Masque
  3. Flawless Veil Illuminating Masque

Ranavat Botanics wants us to discover our own royal ritual.  I’ve tried all three masks.  They are all so beautiful and unique and any one of these would make a lovely addition to any routine.

(1)  Eternal Reign Detoxifying Masque travel size:

This organic powder is made to detoxify the skin.  Made with vitamin rich superfoods:

  • Manuka Honey Powder
  • French Green Clay
  • Betonite Clay
  • Neem Powder
  • Gotu Kola Powder
  • Moringa Leaf Powder
  • Spirulina Powder
  • Vitamin C
  • Arrow Root Powder

I mixed about 2 teaspoons of powder with water to get a silky paste.  I left it on for about 10 minutes, can be on for 10-15 minutes.  I also like to spray their Jasmine Hydrating Tonique while wearing the mask.  This mask felt creamy on and left my skin feeling clean, soft, and so smooth.

(2)  Kiss of Royal Tea Hydrating Masque:

Roses anyone?  I love rose everything, especially in my skincare products.  This beautiful mask is made with vitamin-rich ingredients like Rose Clay, Rose Petal Powder, New Zealand Munuka Honey Powder, Indian Ginseng Powder, Hibiscus Petal Powder and other ingredients to help nourish skin.

I just mixed a few teaspoons of Kiss of Royal Tea dry mask with water, (using a bamboo spoon to mix) and then applied with a mask brush.  This makes a rose colored mask (see pics below and of course I had to make a “kiss face”).  My skin felt super soft, hydrated and gave a nice glow after.  So pretty.  I think this might be my favorite (if I had to pick one)?!?!

So hydrating especially at the end of the crazy winter weather.  Can’t wait to use again.

(3)  Flawless Veil Illuminating Masque:

The Flawless Veil is made to uncover fresh skin and decrease hyper-pigmentation.  Made with Solum Fullonum (Fuller’s Earth Clay), Bentonite Clay, Manuka Honey Powder, Organic Wild Tumeric, Organic Sandalwood and Bakuchi, Saffron and other certified organic ingredients.

This mask has an earthy scent.  It makes a velvety mask, just like the other Ranavat Botanics Masques.  Gives a nice cooling sensation when on.  I left this on for about 10-15 minutes, misting my Organic Jasmine Tonique every few minutes, and then I used a warm towel to remove the mask.  My skin was left super soft and radiant after.

I really love how easy these are to use, simply add water.  Plus for an extra treatment, Ranavat Botanics suggests placing a warm towel over the masque to loosen and gently remove the dried masque (like I did above).

Organic Jasmine Tonique $40:

Say hello to hydrating Jasmine, I couldn’t stop misting myself (seriously).  The scent is so intoxicating.  Made from certified organic and steam-distilled Indian Jasmine flower, no wonder this smells so sweet.  Plus leaves skin feeling refreshed and hydrated.  Such a lovely aroma and gentle mist.

I like to spray directly on my face with the gentle mist throughout the day.  Anytime I need an extra lift or hydration.  At night I use an organic cotton pad, just a few sprays on the pad to tone and help take off the day.

The only ingredients in this beauty are USDA Certified organic steam- distilled jasmine flowers.

The Tonique is a multi-tasker too.  It can be used as a toner, masque activator or a hydrator for skin.  Love this refreshing mist.  It also comes in Organic Lavender Tonique, sounds so lovely (can’t wait to try).

Mighty Majesty Hair and Body Serum Huile Extraordinare travel size/Full Size $55:

This is a mighty majestic hair and body serum.  It smells like a jasmine garden.  Made with Certified Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Jasmine Oil and Organic Amla Extract.  I apply a few drops to the palm of my hands and smooth through my dry hair.  I helps decrease my frizz and soften my waves (thank goodness).  Adding a pretty shine.  I like to rub in the extra serum on my hands to soften my dry skin.

This is another multi-tasking product:

  • Hair:  It can be used on dry or wet hair and on the scalp by leaving on overnight
  • Body:  all over to smooth and hydrate, especially on damp skin
  • Bath:  add a few drops to soften skin and give the bath a sweet jasmine scent

Bottom Line

Ranavat Botanics is truly an exquisite line.  From their royalty inspired names, gorgeous packaging, scents, textures, and their MADE SAFE and USDA products with Indian influence.  Plus, I really like they are made with safe ingredients, how easy these are to use, yet so luxurious and affordable.

Have you tried Ranavat Botanics?  Please let me know your thoughts in comments below.

PETIT VOUR FEBRUARY 2018

Let me start by saying the February Petit Vour box is so good.  Just look at all the cruelty free goodies inside.  I really don’t know how they give us such high quality/value products in every box (what a deal).

The Petit Vour Monthly Subscription Box is only $18 a month or as low as $15 a month for $180 a year.  Everything is expertly curated and free from animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins.

Thank you Petit Vour for sending me this amazing “Creme de la Cruelty Free” box to review.

The February box included:

Red Apple Lipstick Lip Liner Full Size $23 “Barely Pink”:

Well hello gorgeous lippie liner.  This is such a beautiful pigmented pink/plum shade.

I like to use as a liner and under lipstick to give different shade to the lipstick.  Helps define lips, which I need.  Does not dry.  I can really tell the difference when I use this lip liner my lips look polished.  Fancy!  Love this.  Plus it comes in 6 shades.

Elate Cosmetics Creme Revealer Deluxe Sample $12/Full Size $20 in “Buff”:

I like to use this under my eyes to cover my bags (yes I said it), around my lips or any place I need to camaflouge.  Great for under eye circles, blemishes, scars and more.  This little jar will last for a while too.  Comes in three shades and blends in well.  Plus it is vegan and cruelty free (of course).

I use my ring finger to gently blend in or a concealer brush to give a air brush look.  Either way it works!

Zabana Essentials Tamanu Calndula Healing Anti-Blemish Face Balm $15/Full Size $30:

This Balm is great, a multi-tasking balm to calm skin, combat acne, redness, scars, dermatitis and reduce fine lines.  Has a lovely light lemon scent.  A little goes a long way and melts into skin.

I like to take about a dime size and put it all over my face at night for extra soft skin in the morning.  I also like it for my dry hands and elbows.  It is light weight and absorbs pretty quickly but leaves skin so hydrated.

Derma-E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub With Activated Charcoal Sample $2/Full Size $15:

Gentle enough to use daily.  Derma-E was developed by a doctor and clinically tested.  The natural exfoliate is made to lift away micro-pollutants and impurities.  The creamy consistency exfoliates without stripping my skin.  It helped smooth my skin and gave a nice glow.

Bottom Line

The February box was incredible.  The Red Apple Lipstick Lip Liner was more than the entire box, so everything else was a bonus.  I’m so happy with Petit Vour boxes and love that we can earn points to spend in their shop for reviews and purchases.

Now let’s see everything inside my February Goodbeing box that was sent for my review:

Orglamix Lip & Cheek Gelee Full Size $18 in Heliotrope:

Love multi-tasking products and this one is for Lips & Cheeks.  Such a pretty plume color with a light shimmer.  This beautiful shade was made exclusively for Goodbeing, along with Peony and Zinnia that other subscribers may have received.  Leaves lips soft and smooth.  Plus long lasting and can layer for more color.

ReChoc Cocoalte Supplement 3 $3.75/Full Size$24.95:

Yummy chocolate that is good for me?  Yes please.  These are so good and are a bonus for Valentine’s Day.  Dark Chocolate with nutritional benefits.  Just eat one piece a day for a chocolate fix with resveratrol to promote wellbeing and longevity.  Have you tried?  Definitely, helps my dark chocolate daily need.

Z Skin Neck Firming Cream Full Size $19:

I think we all know, especially us more mature women, how delicate the chest and neck area is.  These are areas I’m afraid I ignored in my younger years so this was one of my picks.  This cream has SPF 4 and developed to support thee neck and chest areas to give youthful elasticity and hydration.

A white cream/lotion that goes on leaving skin hydrated.  I really like that there is a SPF too.  Simple to use, made with safer ingredients, and affordable too!  Where was this product in my twenties?

Mindful Zebra Detox Frankincense Clay Bath $8/Full Size $36:

Do you love taking a bath?  I guess the question should be do you have time to take a bath?  I adore a warm bath, especially in the winter.  Adding this blend of bentonite clay and Dead Sea salt was so lovely.  Plus the aroma of frankincense and myth really helped relax me.  It is a very light scent and leaves skin soft.

The Bentonite clay helps to remove toxins from the skin.  The frankincense and myrrh helps to calm the mind.  Just added a little to my bath, allowing the Detox Clay Bath to disolve for a moment.  Plus loved this sample has enough product for a few baths.

Pangea Organics Brazilian Sugar with Cocoa Butter Body Polish Travel Size $7/Full Size $28:

This was my second pick for my customized February Goodbeing box.  Made with organic brown sugar and sea salt, organic cocoa and shea butters.  The scrub provided gentle exfoliation and left skin feeling super soft, not greasy.

Good Medicine Beauty Lab Steaming Stones Sweet Surrender Body Oil Travel Size $12/Full Size $22:

This body oil has a earthy smell with sweet grasses, juniper, blue cypress, desert sage and tobacco.  Made to ease emotional and physical stress.  The scent is pretty strong and earthy at first, but then blends in.  I like to apply a little to my body after a shower while my skin is still damp.  I usually prefer tropical scents, however, during the winter months it is fun to change to a bolder, lusty aroma.

Bottom Line

I’m always impressed with the quality and quantity of natural and wellness products included in Goodbeing box.  If you’ve thought about joining or gifting the Goodbeing box to someone special, now is the time with all their February bonuses.

Now let’s get to my January Goodbeing box that was gifted for my review (thank you):

AILA Cosmetics Nail Polish Full Size $14 in “Mister Pookies”$14

How about the name?  So fun!  Plus, the color is gorgeous, a pretty steel grey with purple undetones.  This was one of my monthly picks and so happy I was able to customize my Goodbeing box with a winter nail polish.

This nail lacquer is free of 11 toxins that are usually found in conventional formulas.  Made without parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, dubiety phthalate, toluene, triphenyl phosphate, xylene, bismuth oxychloride, and ethyl tosylamide.

I applied two coats and was chip free for a almost a week.  One of my favorite items in the box.

AILA Cosmetics 3-1 Soy-Based Nail Color Remover, Nail & Cuticle Treatment 1 Cloth $1:

This is so convenient to take off nail polish.  This little package can be taken on trips or in your bag for those nail polish mishaps or chips.  A plant-based remover cloth that removes nail polish without leaving a film or that smell of acetone (yuck).  It takes off nail polish and leaves skin and cuticles soft and conditioned with Vitamins A, C & E.

Just take out of the package, leave on nail for about 5 seconds then gently wipe back and forth then see no more nail polish.

So good!  Might have to use a little more rubbing than conventional removers but it doesn’t have all the harmful ingredients.  I need to get me some more of these.  To see more about AILA 3-1 remover check out my review.

Elanveda All Sinus Essintial Oil Formula 5 ml/$10:

So needed right now.  I’ve been searching for a natural way to help with my sinuses and this really helps me.  This has a roller ball application.  Just massage oil onto nasal passage 3-4 times a day as needed.  Can also be added to boiling water as a steam or to a humidifier.

Made with natural ingredients like eucalyptus, Camphor Lemongrass & Rosemary Verbenone oils.

Gaffer & Child Facial Cleanser Full Size $28:

Hello lemon and lavender.  Such a lovely fresh clean scent.  Reminds me of summer.  Has a nice lather, comes out like a liquid soap and leaves skin super clean and soft.  Plus, every purchase will assist in PETA’s groundbreaking work to stop animal abuse and suffering.

Previse DermApothecary Marine Granules Skin Brightening Botanical Scrub Travel Size $11.25 (Full Size 2 oz. $45)

Exfoliation with a light weight mousse.  It is a blend of jojoba botanical extracts and fossilized marine algae for a gentle exfoliation.  Made with natural and organic ingredients.  Not all the nasty and harsh exfoliating ingredients like conventional products.

I just applied a little warm water to my face, then a squirt of the scrub, gentle massage and then washed off with water.  My face felt super soft and had a nice glow.

Stinkbug Organics Natural Deodorant Travel Size $3.95 (Full Size $7.99):

Always like receiving travel size stick deodorants in subscription boxes that are made with natural ingredients.  This deodorant has Non-GMO cornstarch, made with organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, and baking- soda.  The texture is soft and goes on smooth.

Bottom Line

I truly like that I can pick 2 of my products every month.  Plus the variety of natural beauty and lifestyle products are always so good.  My favorite items in my January box had to be the AILA nail lacquer and cloth remover, but everything else was so good too.  What was your favorite?

PETIT VOUR JANUARY 2018

Petit Vour

Way to start 2018 off right with the Petit Vour box full of cruelty-free beauty.  The monthly box is only $18 a month or as low as $15 a month with a yearly membership.  Every box is expertly curated and free from animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins.

Petit Vour “peh-tee-vohr”

“Is a Frenglish word derived from French confectionary “petit four.”  A petit vour is a small, cruelty-free luxury-non-toxic, vegan, and ethically made.  Petit Vour boxes contain a selection of such things and are curated for the modern, ethical woman.”

How it works:

  • Each box contains 4-5 cruelty free beauty products every month.  May contain travel, deluxe or full- size products
  • Typical value $45-$60 monthly
  • Each box includes a variety of products, from hair care, make-up, body and skin care
  • Curated to match personalized profile
  • Cruelty free, non-toxic products, plant based products
  • Boxes ship in batches, between the 10th-20th of the month

To see my last review go here.  Thank you Petit Vour for sending me this box to review.

So let’s get to it.

We Love Eyes Tea Tree Eyelid & Eyelash Foaming Cleanser Full Size $20

Already more than the price of the box.  This is a foam cleanser, just a few pumps works.

I don’t wear tons of make-up, but use this when I wear my usual make-up (mascara and eyeshadow).  This can also be used to clean false lashes too.

How to use:

  • shake well
  • use 2 pumps on clean fingertips
  • close eyes and apply, gently rub onto eyelids and eyelashes
  • rinse with water- I like to use warm water, then follow with my all over face cleanser and then towel dry.

Andalou Naturals Vitamin C Brightening Facial Mask $5

This a face mask that gives a quick boost.  You might look a little funny or scary according to my daughter (see pic below), but great for a spa day at home or before a big event.

To apply, gently unfold the sheet mask, place the soft, fiber side on clean dry face.  Adjust the eyes, mouth, nose openings.  Try to relax, not to answer the door with mask on, and take off in about 10-20 minutes (or when you feel ready).  I like to apply the extra product in the package to my face after I’m done with sheet mask.  My skin felt so soft and radiant after I used the mask.  Plus these are affordable and come in a variety of masks for your skin care preference.

Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Face Oil Deluxe Sample $15.20

This facial oil absorbs fast and makes skin feel soft.  It is great for all skin types, especially shall we say it, mature skin (that’s mine).

Made with potent essential oils and natural plant extracts such as Frankincense to rejuvenate and firm and rose to smooth skin’s appearance.  I like to apply a little drop to my hands and take in the beautiful rose earthy smell.  So lovely.

Tip:  have too many face oils use this for aromatherapy, or on hands/feet for some extra softness.

K Voss NYC Cinnamon Lip Plumper Full Size $18

Wow!  You can smell the cinnamon in this little glass jar.  It is a lip balm and lip plumper.  Made with coconut, almond and olive oil and pure cinnamon.  However, when I applied the balm my lips felt like they were on fire and I had to take it off right away.  I gave it one more try and applied it after lipstick, but it was still too hot for me.  Although, it didn’t work for me, it might work for someone else, remember not all products are for everyone.  You may love it.  What did you think?

Bottom Line

For me, Petit Vour always delivers a great box, especially for the price.  The All About Eyes already covered the cost of the box, so everything else was a bonus for me.  Although, I couldn’t wear the lip balm because it was just too hot for my lips, I really liked all the other products in the January box.

What did you think of the January box?  Please share in comments.  Thanks

GOODBEING DECEMBER 2017

Goodbeing

Goodbeing, formerly known as Goodebox, is such a great monthly subscription box to discover healthy beauty, personal care and wellness products.  Every box I’ve tried has great products that are made with safer ingredients and healthier alternatives to conventional make-up, skincare & wellness products.  Check out my previous review of the November 2017 box and other review here.  They have a few options to choose from, starting at $9.95 a month.

First, to join members choose a box type and plan, the Beauty or Lifestyle box.  The Beauty box contains all beauty, featuring body & hair care, skincare, nail color, beauty elixirs/serums, even beauty accessories and more.  The Lifestyle box includes a combination of beauty, lifestyle, wellness, supplements, superfoods and non-toxic lifestyle goods.  They have  a monthly plan or pre-paid plan that saves money.

The Goodbeing Standard for the Lifestyle and Beauty box is $24.95 USD/Box or Prepaid 6 Month Plan $21.99 USD/Box ($131.95 every renewal):

  • Average value of $40-$50, varies each month and for member to member

  • Receive 2 items every month, either 2 travel size or a full size and deluxe size

Second, members fill out a detailed member profile.  This is how you get a personalized box, as well as picking your own products with the Goodbeing Standard membership.

Third, test away, figure out what you like.  Remember we are all different, what works for me may not work for you.  This is why subscription boxes are one of my favorite ways to test quality natural products without having to buy the full size only to find out it doesn’t work for me.

Every Goodbeing Box also comes with information cards with details about the products, cost and value of the products.  Plus a beautiful quote and Member Only Discounts on the other side.  Who doesn’t love discount codes?

Look at all the goods in December Box:

Jivi Moisturizer with Sun Protection in Lavender Full Size $12:

The moisturizer is creamy with a purple color that absorbs clear into skin.  This can be used everywhere for hydration and sun protection.  I like to apply to my arms, hands, face and neck.

Ingredients:  Many of the ingredients are organic- aloe vera juice shea butter, olive oil, zinc oxide emulsifying wax from coconut/palm tress, vegetable glycerin, jojoba oil ,micro algae, cucumber peel, rosemary, vitamin E, Essential oil blend.

Jivi products are also edible.  You heard right.  I’m not suggesting you eat the bottle or what is inside.  However, Jivi feels that if the ingredients aren’t safe to eat why should someone put it on their skin?  Such a great point, right?

How cute, the bottle even says to call your mom.  Plus, for every Jivi bottle purchased, Jivi gives a meal through a food bank, to a person in the neighborhood where the product was bought.

I like that this line is effective, safe, gives back, and is affordable.

Jivi Exfoliating Face Wash in Lemongrass Sample/Full Size $12:

A little goes a long way, just a small size of the wash massaged onto face, provides a light exfoliation.  It smells like yummy lemons and leaves skin fresh and clean.

Co Pur Lavender & Lime Hand Balm Full Size $9:

This beauty stick comes in handy.  Especially during the crazy weather months.  So easy to use with the no mess applicator.  It is a rich balm which can be applied anywhere extra moisture needed- hands, cuticles, elbows, heels.  Just allow the balm to warm in hands, which happens pretty quickly and apply.

Ingredients:  Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Organic Shea Butter, Organic cocoa Butter, Lavender Oil, Lime Oil.

This was a must have on our car trip to see family over the Holidays.  My husband and I have such dry hands right now and this beauty really helped sooth them and stop the cracking.

Esthechoc Chocolate Cambridge Beauty Science Beauty Dietary Supplement $7.85 for 3/$55 for 21 bars:

A yummy way to get a supplement.  Each one is individually wrapped.  It is a thin chocolate and tastes like a treat.  Any chocolate lovers out there?  Me too.

Made to increase microcirculation, cellular trurnoer, and improves overall skin function (yes, tell me more!) in about 21 days.

Ingredients:  cocoa polyphenols and plant based age called astaxanthin.  1 bar has 40 calories and a small amount of caffiene.

Directions one piece per day recommended to have with morning coffee or at night for an indulgent treat.  Also, I really like the idea of helping my skin and feeding my sweet tooth all at the same time.  Win, win!

Yes, all of mine are already gone.

Elate Clean Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner in Joy Full Size $25:

I saw this sparkle gold beauty and had to make it one of my picks.  Eco beauty meets fashionista!  This clean water resistant formula lasts all day.  Plus how chic is the bamboo packaging?  I like to line my entire eye with this gold liner.  Goes on silky smooth, without streaking and brings a sparkle to the eyes.  Especially for the holidays.  Dries quickly, about a minute or two.

So happy I picked this gluten-free, toxin-free and clean ingredient beauty as part of my box.

MyChelle Lip Hints Condition Lip Balm in Plum Full Size $12.50:

A conditioning lip balm in many colors.  I received Plum, it looks bold in the glass pot, however, goes on sheer.  Leaves lips super soft and moisturized.  A melting balm made from a blend of Shea Butter, coconut, Kalahari Melon and Meadowfoam Oils.

Looks like a sheer gloss on.  So pretty, made without Phthalates, parabens, sulfate and other nasty ingredients.

Bottom Line

Such a great variety of natural products in the December Box.  I’m such a fan of picking 1- 2 of my products per box.  Always happy to see green beauty make-up, skincare, and wellness in one box.  I think I found my new favorite treat that is also good for my skin, Esthochoc chocolate.

SEASON’S GREETINGS WITH PETIT VOUR DECEMBER 2017 BOX

Petit Vour

Have you been searching for cruelty free beauty options?  Then take a look at Petit Vour Monthly Subscription Box.  The monthly box is only $18 a month or as low as $15 a month for $180 a year.  Everything is expertly curated and free from animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins.  The first Petit Vour box was curated in 2013 and continues to be one of the best out there.  I often wonder how they are able to deliver all the luxury cruelty free beauty boxes every month for that price (steal).

  • Get 400 PV pont or $4 when you rate the items from that month’s box
  • Once you try/test the products they can be purchased in the Petit Vour on-line shop

When Petit Vour reached out to me to review their boxes I was so excited and couldn’t wait (happy dance).  I’m so proud to be part of the Petit Vour movement and their mission to bring two worlds together: luxury and progressive values.

Now, let’s check out the December Petit Vour box.

The December Box

Each box includes an Information card, always with an artistic picture or inspiring statement to match the theme of the box, plus details about how to use the products.  This month is so festive and how cute is the little bunny?

Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Mascara $10/Full Size $22

This black mascara goes on smooth without clumping or smudging.  I really liked this mascara because it is buildable.  I have blonde barely there eyelashes, so I like to wear one that makes my eyelashes stand out without causing black under eye smudges.  It made my eyelashes look long and you can see them (score).  The mascara is nutrient rich from plant derived Photo-Pigments and formulated with over 60% of certified organic ingredients.

True Moringa Lip Whip in Truth Full Size $16

Naturally colored and flavored lip whips.  This comes in 3 beautiful shades, I received Truth, a pretty pink.  Looks like a bold pink in the pot, but goes on as a sheer pink tint.  Helps keep lips hydrated and moisturized with a little shimmer.  Tints are great for a more natural look and feel.  So easy to place the glass pot in a pocket on the run or in a bag.

Odacite Synergie Immediate Skin Perfecting Beauty Masque $6/Full Size $59

This is a powder that is mixed with water or any liquid or serum to detoxify pores with activated charcoal and clay, brighten and even skin tone with vitamin C + Fruit Enzymes, to peel off dead cells with papaya enzymes + fruit extracts, and firm skin due to probiotics + vitamin C.  More please.  I mixed about 1 1/2 teaspoons of the powder with water.  It turned into a lovely gray color with a smooth clay consistency.  I left it on for about 15 minutes.  It left my skin feeling soft and smooth.  Plus, so nice there is enough for 2 masks in the travel package.

Province Apothcary Full Brow Serum $16 /Full Size $36

This formula is blended with botanical extracts and anti oxidants to encourage fuller-looking brows.  A blend of Organic Castor Seed Oil and Coffee Extract targets hair follicles to help them grow.   I so need this.  Not only do I have sparse eyelashes, my brows are the same.  The serum is light with an earthy aroma.  My brows do seem a bit thicker, so can’t wait to see with continued use what happens.

URSA Major Golden Hour Travel Size $6/Full Size $48

The cream texture feels so lovely on my dry winter skin.  My skin care changes with the season because my skin goes through so much.  How about you?  So winter months I like creams and balms.  This one is super creamy, hydrating that absorbs quickly, not greasy.  Plus, the scent is light and clean.  Can be used twice daily or as a night cream.  I like to use it at night so I wake up with super soft skin.

Bottom Line

Such an amazing box, with a value that is always higher than the cost of the box.  Super crazy to get all these quality products for only $15-$18 a month.  I definitely recommend this box for those interested in discovering luxury cruelty-free beauty.  The best way to see if you like the products and the ingredients before you purchase full sizes.  Not only do you get a fabulous surprise cruelty-free box every month, you can review the products and get money to spend in their online shop.  Bonus.  Love it.
